[USERSTYLE] Bolt style for the forum (base)

Unread post by VaidX47 » Mon Aug 05, 2019 1:25 pm

Now included as a board style, see:
User Control Panel -> Board preferences -> My board style: ORP Legacy (Bolt)

UserCSS style for the forum that tries to imitate the main theme of the I/O website, to some extent.
Was made for my own use last month, now published. How it usually goes. :grimacing:
Original "Bolt" Grav theme by Marv. Some css code is being used from there to match the look.

Only outer section and main navigation bar is modified, hence base in the title.

Alternatively, we've also got this as a proper theme now. You can change it in the global settings under "my board style".

Good job, cat. Now lazy users won't need to download anything to get this working.

I'll still keep the file in the original post, just in case.

Edit: noticed a minor override issue in board style, working on it.
Edit2: fixed.

Any chance of getting an alternate dark style? :D

Until this, I‘m using the new style. Good job guys!

I was also thinking that we could really use an "RVL Legacy" theme as well. :P

Actually, this started as my first step for a dark theme, but since I'm lazy atm, I wanted something quickly done, thought styling from the main website would be nice, since it has dark bg and navbar, also adds more consistency across the whole site. And well, now it's here.

I had barebones dark-blue style that was previously for ORP in works (also for own use years back; looks very similar to RVL), didn't touch it since my last post unfortunately, because again - lazy. :grimacing:
And seeing the screenshot of it now, doesn't look very pleasant to look at. Although it's because many details were not finished and done for Invisionfree boards previously (formerly used by ORP and RVL).

Might be worth a try to leave the "details" out altogether and go with simple colors and gradients to see how it looks. When rvz died and took rvl's stylesheet down with it back in 2015 I threw together like 20 lines of css as a stopgap and it turned out pretty well if I say so myself:

Should be interesting to see how far the bumblebee color scheme can be taken.
