RVGL Music Not Working
RVGL Music Not Working
For whatever reason, there is no music when I play RVGL. The RVGL project page says that it uses OpenAL Soft for the audio, and I don't have that installed, so is that the problem?
Re: RVGL Music Not Working
OpenAL is included with the RVGL download, but if you want to be sure you have it, check whether the file OpenAL32.dll exists in the game's directory.
The music should be located in the redbook folder. Are there any sound files there in your install? If not, you can get them here.

Re: RVGL Music Not Working
OpenAL32.dll is in my game files, but It seems that there is no redbook folder anywhere in my Re-Volt game files, so should I make one? And if so, where should I put it?
Re: RVGL Music Not Working
Ah, that's the problem then. If you unzip the soundtrack pack of your choice in the game's directory, it'll automatically create the redbook folder, so you don't need to worry about that.
You can get FLAC versions of the PC and Dreamcast releases at the link I posted earlier, or OGG versions of the Dreamcast and community releases here.

Ok, the music plays now, thanks!

No problem! ^^
Re: RVGL Music Not Working
Sorry to bug you, but is the file named directory? Because if it's not, I can't find it then. I tried downloading and extracting the music myself, but it's not working.Wichilie wrote: ↑Fri Jul 19, 2019 5:24 pm Ah, that's the problem then. You gotta right click the downloaded music then unzip it to a location you know you can find the unzipped file the folder should be named redbook once you find it just copy it to where rvgl.exe is located paste the redbook folder there and see if it worked
Re: RVGL Music Not Working
