It is clearly impossible with the frequency of updates to draw positive or negative conclusions about new features ...
For example, the hybrid connection had since the unofficial test build an improvement in the management of the lag and the gameplay as a whole (collision, steering ...)
Improvement confirmed by the build 19.0414a where I also posted a reaction in the dedicated topic.
But since this new update, we find ourselves as income at the starting point before the introduction of this feature.
It would be interesting to return to build 19.0414a and to be able to confirm among the small changes made what may or may not bring such great differences in the general feeling ...

Question not about this specific release, but RVGL in general: does the linux version work with only fluidsynth 1, or can it be made to use fluidsynth 2 without any issues?
Running into this on my newish manjaro install:

Try installing rvgl-bin from the AUR (or check the install script), it seems to work fine.

fluidsynth 1 and 2 are not fully compatible, also alure which has it as optional dependency is built statically with rvgl.

This error is not fatal and fluidsynth is optional if you want to play SF2 files in game(experimental since 18.1020a), I don't think this type of files is included in any pack or many existing tracks would use it.

I've tried to install RVGL on a certain PC (yep with outdates OS called win7), still got the same error message each time:
Wrong OpenGL version or the program can't even find OpenGL in the PC.
What could be the problem there?

(The latest 1.2 version worked perfectly there tho.)

Fluidsynth 2 is not supported and it's not ABI compatible with 1.x series. For info, this and other limitations were mentioned in the release post where MIDI support was introduced. RVGL uses alure-1.2 for music playback. The fluidsynth decoder in this fork will need to be updated for 2.x support. There is an upstream alure2 in development, but that doesn't have a fluidsynth decoder either.

Unlike Microsoft's DirectX which is used by 1.2 and the original versions, OpenGL support depends on the drivers provided by your GPU vendor. If you're unable to get drivers directly from the GPU vendor (either your hardware is too old and you run Windows 10, or your hardware is too new and you run Windows 7), then you're unlikely to have OpenGL support.
