The Re-Volt Hideout

The database factors in:

- Car statistical data (top speed, acceleration, weight)
- Verified lap times for all stock tracks (Rooftops included)

Factors outside the database which are also of relevance include:

- Arbitrary descriptions of car handling, as this isn't something that can be conclusively shown with statistics alone
- Overall car performance in online races, both with pickups enabled and disabled, session parser results also considered
- Cars which are built to specific specification (Clockworks only with other clockworks, etc...)
- Simulation, Arcade and Console modes (Arcade is the main focus for most types of racing, with Simulation and Console considered for situational purposes)
- Purely focusing on RVGL, for the sake of not becoming too complex. RVGL on Android is also included.

Factors which are NOT included:

- Old/obsolete/unsupported RV versions (DEV build, Xbox source, Demos, 1.0, 0916, 1207, Phoenix R3, Wolf R4, 1.2, 100+ cars builds, Weapon mod build, etc...)
- Console versions (PS1, N64, Dreamcast, unreleased GBC port)
- Mobile versions (Re-Volt 2: Multiplayer, etc...)
- Junior RC (This mode is redundant in the modern era of RV)
- Stunt Arena
- Battle Tag
- Last Man Standing
- Drifting
- Any other type of specialised events that don't involve circuit or point to point racing (Voltball, etc...)
- Events that have cars purpose built only for those events (Alls Fair, etc...)
- AI performance (This can not be used in any way to substantiate any claims against what a player can actually do with a certain car VS how the AI performs, Pest Control is a perfect example of this)

More will be added to these sections if I think of them.

For the time being, all data is kept, entered and manually updated periodically by myself. I try to add new custom cars as they are released/updated.
Any and all times can be beaten and submitted by anyone, anywhere and at any time. For any car that is NOT a stock or DC car, you MUST use the current version of it on Re-Volt Zone or where avaliable unless otherwise stated.

The database will use the same format as the Time Trial section for every car. Simply submit a screenshot that clearly shows the time and car used in one of the following formats:





If your time seems suspicious or questionable, you will be asked to send your times and laplocal files for further verification. If your submission doesn't adhere to the above examples or can't be verified, it will NOT be added.

The times sections are hidden for all custom cars for now, due to the need to finish filling in the DC times page. Once this is done and I start doing times for custom cars, I will also eventually start hosting sessions similar to IO in which certain customs will be used to ascertain where they stand in their respective class. These will continue until I feel I have enough analytical data on them and will move on to other cars over time.

The "Limbo" section is for cars that are universally banned from conventional racing, older versions of cars that have been made obsolete by a drastic update yet still hold merit of some kind or cars that are just too specialised to have any competitive merit for their class.

- Add who set each time.
- Add images of each record.
- Credits to those who have contributed times so far.
- A macro/script that changes the colour of the time based on how it compares to the stock times, if such a thing is possible.
- Come up with a better solution to display raw data in a more user-friendly way.
- Convert the whole database into a web format for the above purpose.
- Find somewhere to properly host the data.
