[Done] [RVGL] Startgrid zoom for custom tracks

Unread post by kiwi » Fri Jan 18, 2019 10:30 am

At stock-tracks, the camera is zooming from a fixed position over the startgrid to the drivers car, when the race starts.

Is it possible, to enable this effect also for custom tracks?

I know. That's the reason why I posted the question in Suggestions, and not in Help & Troubleshooting. The question was meant as a suggestion for a future RVGL release. For example by enabling it in the tracks ini-file. An "advanced" suggestion would be, that the zoom can be adjusted. For example, by defining the coordinates of the start point of the zoom effect.

Huki, any comments about this? I really would love to see such a feature implemented. :)

Yes, that would be cool for some tracks!

In the next release, it will be possible to set the startgrid zoom (technically called as the sweep camera) with the following *.inf key:

Code: Select all

SWEEPCAM 1 ; 0 to disable, 1 to enable

For now there is no further option to customize the coordinates, but this can be added later.
