Post suggestions regarding RVGL.

Suggestion Next version RVGL

Additions:
- See the 10 ghost cars in the time trial rankings.
- Ability to face 20 opponents.
- To be able to choose one's place in the starting grid
- Automatic position according to our position in championship mode.
(If you arrive 1st at the 1st race, you are placing 1st in the next race on the starting grid.)
- Can write a nickname up to 19 characters (against 15 currently)
- An option that will allow the car to drive itself.

The corrections :
- Fixed the duration of victory annulment in championship mode that finished before the music.
- Fix the bug to put the car back on track in time trial mode.
(When we want to reposition the car, we see it on the starting line.)

This two was discussed several times.

If you suggest manageable start grid, why you need the automatical one?
- An option that will allow the car to drive itself.

No answer has been said, you have already put 16 opponent, made the test before saying that it is impossible .. .and change the layout of the starting grid. Put it in 5x4 instead of 2x10

You did not understand when you start a race, you're always in the last place. but with a code in the .ini file, we want to be able to choose the place on the starting grid.
And in the championship mode, if you come 1st in the 1st race, you will automatically place 1st on the next race.

This is intended, so you can't get faster times by using jump walls and such (the end of Museum 1, and MightyCucumber's update for Rooftops2 for examples).

In my opinion the only suggestion with any merit of the bunch is the first with 10 time trial ghosts and even that is mostly a low priority novelty.

Other than that:
Upping the car limit would result in full online lobbies ending in absolute chaos.
Going ahead in the start grid would make the game significantly easier.
The max name limit is already past the point of an elegant solution and more of a compromise and upping it further would only compound on this.
Self driving cars are already possible.
I don't know what you mean by "victory annulment in championship mode"
Being thrown back to the start after a repo is a deliberate choice to avoid people gaining an advantage by repositioning.

I agree with Kipy, 607 and Alex. None of these are really needed or even should appear.

As for TT I also want to add that it is about setting a best time by driving from start to finish (in either 1 lap circuit track or sprint). If you fail, you repo to the start line and start again. It's useless to have a repo option anyway, because if you crash, the time is weak anyway so you'd better start over rather than reposition on the track and continue. But it would allow to use repo advantages in TT on tracks that have such so it's an absolute no.

10 ghost times driving at the same time? This is not TrackMania, who would keep up within the mess of 10 cars obstructing the view? It's not useful as well, maybe only for advertisement videos. If your time is not perfect, you should know where you can outrun your ghost, 9 slower times in most of cases won't help in anything. Even if it was possible to switch off in-game, this would massively multiply the number and weight of the ghost files, where 9/10 of which would be useless anyway... TT is about the best time, it doesn't matter whether someone has 5 best overall times or just one, only the best one counts and is a comparison/benchmark/goal for the player and for others.
Off Topic
On the other hand, something like an in-game ability to launch and see best times (2 ghosts) made by two different people at the same time (either as a spec or as a racer) could be maybe nice, but difficult to achieve (maybe requires to have in the RVGL folder 2 separate players' folders to work, idk), but it's a completely different story and also times and laplocals are not shared in some central RVGL cloud server that would store and verify players' times, neither are they shared between players so the feature rather wouldn't be even ever used by anybody in the near future if it was implemented.
