I am supportive of this idea, especially for the possibility of custom honk sounds, but also agree with Kiwi's point about using them in the I/O pack. [Done] Persistent sound while driving on custom materials
Currently, it is possible to assign sounds to custom materials, but they can only be enabled by sliding or scraping against the surface. The option to always hear a sound while simply driving on the surface would be extremely useful for properly replicating surfaces such as gravel or pebbles.

The parameters team is currently preparing the 16 cars for release. Unfortunately, progress is slow at the moment. Expect a release by May 12 if things go well. Otherwise, we might unfortunately have to wait until the the end of the month.

Keeping track of objects in online sessions is the same as having to keep track of additional cars. The idea has been tried out already, but it simply does not work out well.
