rvgl.ini vs. GUI settings
Hello! There are variables/parameters/settings in rvgl.ini which I did not find in any of the guides. E.g. there are some desribed that are not available in rvgl.ini (latest version) and others are simply missing, so maybe the guide is a bit outdated. Can yo please help me to understand the meaning ...

Thanks to all of you for your helpful hints!
Which method would you recommend for new tracks? Learn first steps with Blender or something else?

HowTo for track editor (MAKEITGOOD)?
Hello! I have started with the -dev option and began playing with new objects, e.g. adding new pickups on the first standard track. I looked on the Internet for guides, but most show keys that do nothing here (RVGL on Windows 10), some keys have different functions, and so I think that those guides ...

Run local sever with AI cars for local (LAN) multiplayer races?
Hello!
Is it possible to set up a PC with RVGL as local server, i.e. start a local (LAN) multiplayer race with only AI cars, and then join this race on another PC (same local LAN) with human players (playning on split screen)?

Re: Jump start, drifting, jumping in BattleTag, etc.?
Thanks again also for this information. I assume that for sliding not only appropriate cars (and skills ) are needed, but ideally also one of the drifting tracks, right?

Re: Concept of player numbers and controller settings unclear
Sorry, another "PS": Is there a way to keep each controller fixed to each player? (no matter, if just 1 player races, or 2, 3, or even 4) Player 1 - controller A Player 2 - controller B Player 3 - controller C Player 4 - controller D I find it very cumbersome to change the controller setti...

Re: Jump start, drifting, jumping in BattleTag, etc.?
Oh, now I understand, what "reposition" means - it's simply to put the car back on its 4 wheels. I mistakenly thought that this was some other ("special") key. Well, now I know it and will try. ;) And thanks also for your other explanations and the links - really worh read...

Jump start, drifting, jumping in BattleTag, etc.?
Hello! Is there some kind of jump start, i.e. starting quicker than others when hitting the acceleration button at exactly the right time when the race starts? Is there some special way for drifting? I.e. pushing some button while turning the wheel, or braking while turning, or something else? In Ba...

Re: Concept of player numbers and controller settings unclear
Can someone please let me know if I may have completely misunderstood these settings? I.e. do we need 4 profiles when 4 players want to play in split screen mode? I find it complicated and confusing that every time we have to check and sometimes update the controller settings, because after playing ...

Re: [RVGL Release] 21.0125a
Besides the possibility of playing with 4 people on 2 devices, it would be cool to see the tracks as thumbs also on the track selection menu when going from a race to another.

But it is impossible to filter cars, i.e. to hide certain cars or complete classes of cars.

Concept of player numbers and controller settings unclear
Hello! I meanwhile run RVGL via launcher on Windows 10, which works great. :) My problem, though, is that I do not fully understand the concept of player numbers and controller settings. We play with 4 players, sometimes only with 3, 2 (split screen), or even just 1 player. Each player has an own pr...

How to contribute on GitLab?
Hello! How could I contribute on GitLab? There are many RVGL-related repos there, so I am unsure which one is open and appropriate for some first steps of understanding and eventually contribution. E.g. I would like to know where/whom to ask a very specific question for establishing a first pull req...

Re: Automatic updates for the main rvgl binary
Glad to hear it! Hm, I thought you can go to your first post, click on edit, would then be able to click into the first post's title, called "Subject" (which is also the title for the whole thread) and change it. Have you tried that?

@m15t3r_gr1mm
If you did not mean this as a joke, you can rename it yourself as the author of the first post, I guess.
And I really hope that you are not annoyed that your thread has become "hijacked" a bit.

Remove or hide selected local items (e.g. tracks or cars)
I am not sure whether this could be handled directly in RVGL. If not, maybe in RVGL Launcher ? Can RVGL help to remove selected local items? Let's assume that one placed 5 different tracks manually (e.g. from revoltzone) to the local folder and later decides to remove one of them. Currently, I would...

Re: Automatic updates for the main rvgl binary
Some further idea for RVGL Launcher (which I also placed as a new "Issue" on GitLab). Please accept my apologies of that is not the right place. Should it be rather proposed on Discord, Discourse, or similar? Anyway, here my idea: Can RVGL Launcher help to remove selected local items? Let'...

Re: Racing tracks from both ends (starting in opposite directions)
Oh, I see - good to know! ;) It indeed works nicely on the Blue Dolphin track. :) So does this mean that by "simply" adding another "button" (or similar) to any(!) track would result in the possibility to race against opponents from opposite sides? There is already the possibilit...

Re: Automatic updates for the main rvgl binary
@Huki and others Is there a way to add custom stuff from http://revoltzone.net to the launcher? I looked into the already included repository json files but would not know how to proceed. Would I have to first create a custom repository (on my local PC) with a valid json structure and there embed th...

Racing tracks from both ends (starting in opposite directions)
Hello! Would it make sense (and be fun) to race a track from both ends? I.e. half of the cars (+/-1) start from the default start of the track, the others from its end - and they very likely will hit each other somewhere in the middle (unless the track had deviations to take). Am I overseeing someth...

Coop mode
Hello! What do you think about a cooperative mode? I.e. players in one team have the togglable option of "friendly fire" (none of activated pickups affects team mates if enabled) and the team wins with the best racing time. The time could be calculated by building an average of the team ma...
