*.level is a progress file to store track clear state: collected practice star, beaten single race, picked stunt arena stars.
It won't tell us anything about your problem.

Re: Changing the position of the touch buttons (Android)?
Regarding profile.ini, those are input codes for physical key mapping. The game was build from the PC version and it retains keyboard/gamepad functionality (yes, it can be played with either USB or Bluetooth keyboard on Android too), hence most of default internal configuration is shared across all ...

Re: Pickup changes summary
Regarding 3rd suggestion as ZZ described. The player definitely would need to be informed about modified pickup ruleset before hand. Best way in the game itself, instead of solely relying on external sources to read some rules before joining someone's room. The game won't show everything what was al...

Re: New Stock Track Covers
Rooftops was the most needed one due to PVR texture compression artifacts in the dreamcast version. Although the moon texture itself is blocky, so there's not a whole lot to workaround that. Good job with others nonetheless.

Should be no issues at all. Make sure you have copied and replaced all libraries (DLLs) and other contents from the x64 version patch.
There can't be executable and library mismatch.

Anything with latin characters is up to other people.
Regarding other scripts, including cyrillic, not until there's a separate font file implementation first.
Right now the game reads characters from a single raster texture.

Re: What is a list of RVGL's music?
If you're talking about Re-Volt soundtrack. (RVGL is just a patch, it doesn't contain any music) An official track name listing doesn't really exist, but you can find one here collected from internal game data: https://revolt.fandom.com/wiki/Soundtracks#Track_List It's probably as close as you will ...

Re: RVGL on Android

What happens if multiple players have set CupDC differently in their profiles when playing against each other? Quick...

Re: Strange ghost file in Medieval:Redux
The game tries to create a file with a colon : character in its filename. Windows file system does not allow that in any normal circumstances, hence why you see empty right before that character begins. If the file is still read by the game, then it is probably still there, named like it should be, ...

Isn't it faster to change number right away in the text file instead of scrolling for minutes one by one from 3 to 255 in-game? (If 20 menu limit was unlocked, let's say) Unless implement a number typing function in such UI elements. Or at least have PgUp PgDown keys alter by 10, how car/track selec...

Some text stuff is known to be hardcoded (not read from external string files).
Probably eventually planned to change this.

Re: Enter name dialog (screen keyboard) overlaps name field [Fire TV]
I have created a profile and set up everything. When I go to start a race, RVGL asks again for the player's name, despite I have just selected a profile. This is a little bit confusing, as I do not understand why the name has to be entered here. I thought that each player (with her/his name) has he...

Note : If you have already run the app, it should have automatically generated an RVGL folder for you with updated assets. In this case, extract the full game data into this folder, taking care not to overwrite any of the existing files (i.e., say NO to replace). Hello Huki, Why should we not overw...

Re: Missing files in log [Windows 10 Pro 64bit]
It's normal. The log shows all the files the game tries to read, if it's not found, it will just skip over. RVGL in certain situations loads files in fallback principle: found this file in the custom or reversed folder - will use it; didn't find the file, will use the original instead. Of course, th...

Re: Load and add missing assets in one batch automatically?
No IO packs, DC pack (rvgl_dcpack.7z) offered from the RVGL website and Dreamcast soundtrack (aka soundtrack.zip) from https://re-volt.io/downloads/misc are highly recommended for having the best original game experience. Do you really mean that none of these packs should be used for best original ...

Re: Load and add missing assets in one batch automatically?
Sorry, it is still somewhat unclear to me which are the necessary basic/original files and which ones I need on top. E.g., there are various packs: https://re-volt.io/downloads/packs However, they show version numbers behind the latest update. So what does it mean? Is the latest version 20.0905a th...

Re: Load and add missing assets in one batch automatically?
RVGL is an upgrade . It is not bundled together as a full game for a similar reason as to why the source code is not open to everyone. The RVGL patch only contains modified files to upgrade Re-Volt from original 1999 PC-CD release (or GOG if you own), including pre-patched with official 0916/1207, ...

Re: RVGL crash after loading "dodgy poly texture" (after rvgl v20 update)
Files starting with a dot should not exist in these track folders. Sounds dodgy to me. The game tries to load all *.prm+*.ncp files (instances) from the level folder, no matter how they are named, unlike with other main track files (be consistent with the folder name). So if there's one with weird d...

Re: Problem with RVGL, missing files
RVGL is only a patch, it generally requires you to own the original game (its data precisely).
You can follow Avecezer's posted link to get the game data.
Or download the full prepacked game in the same (IO) website.

If you already have the latest RVGL installed, you can join most lobbies without needing to port forward.

Re: Give player(s) host permissions
Hosts could pass their permissions and hosting ability to another player without closing a lobby in v1.2, don't remember why it didn't make it to RVGL.
Giving permissions (without changing host) to one or multiple people is a new suggestion though.

Re: Problem "hiccup" in RVGL
Also i register these hiccups only in rvgl. I tried to use Re-Volt 1.10 and it runs smooth. Hmm, have you tried 1.2 patch and see whether there is stuttering? It still runs in DirectX instead of OpenGL (RVGL). It won't solve the issue if you want to play with the latest features, just curious. I've...
