Re: Spa-Volt Diary

Thanks Pyves, glad you like it :) It's such a big honor to me, that it reminds you of Quake!, because this is one of my favorite track since the beginning of the 2000s, and it was a big influence for Spa-Volt. Regarding the soundtrack, it's interesting to hear your opinion, so I want to tell you a l...

Re: Graphic setting to disable spark effects?

Another thing that came to my mind and would be an issue: Sparks can also have collisions enabled in the properties.txt. If this would be the case, deactivating the spark effects would also have influence to the racing conditions of the single racers. However, a solution would be, that only sparks w...

Graphic setting to disable spark effects?

A lot of things can be turned off in the graphics menu, but not the effects produced by spark generators (for example steam, smoke, fire). Such a setting would be nice for players with not so good hardware, because this effects are real fps-killers. This way, track makers could implement this effect...

Re: Spa-Volt Diary

It might be a good idea to use the spoiler tag for the images next time you do a similar topic, because it takes up a lot of space and you can only start reading the text after all images loaded. Thx for the hint. I did this for the whole topic now, so it should be much better to read. Also, when y...

Re: Spa-Volt Diary

I've changed my plans a bit. I saw no reason, to keep Spa-Volt 1 back, so I decided to release it earlier then usually planned. [Download] Spa-Volt 1 from RVZ Any comments, bug reports, and so on are highly appreciated. I plan to release a bug fix for Spa-Volt 1 in one or two weeks, with the errors ...

Re: Instant's WIP

It's really great to see you make a track again. I like the visual style of both of your tracks Waterfall and Cake very much. You are very good in producing an athmosphere by using lights and extreme contrasts between light and shadow. This is something I also tried while doing Spa-Volt . The teaser...

Re: Persistent sound while driving on custom materials

Yes, I fully support this suggestion. On the new Ranch -track, the custom sound when sliding on wood is a little bit strange, it would make more sense, if this would be persistent instead. I also have this issues on my custom surfaces for Spa-Volt - especially at the wet surface at the outdoor area.

Re: Ranch

Ohh...so it's really supposed to look like this (See below)? Feels a little bit strange, but if you want it to be that way, OK. Just thought, there would be much prettier landscapes or detail pictures (like you also using for loadscreen 3 and 4, for example). There's so much blue, that I thought it ...

Re: Ranch

Ohhhh yes, it's out. Can't wait to have a closer look today in the evening.

I've found a "bug": In both versions (RVZ and Full), the loadlevel1.bmp and loadlevel2.bmp are wrong. In the reversed versions it's correct.

Re: [RVGL] Problem using mirrors

Hello Huki, so I gave it another try, and did a few more tests with the current version of my track. 1) I've created a portal by using the makeitgood "Erm, nothing to see here"-mode, where the mirrored surface should appear. 2) I've created a rim -file by using the mkmirror tool. What about adding the car names also to the results screen, and have it not only in the lobby overview and sessionlog file?
