Re: Favourite Custom Tracks

My picks, state as of 15-09-2019. It's very hard to make a list, rather than just a group of best tracks, here's my try: 1. Skating Toys The best custom track in my opinion. Looks even more stock-like than stock Toys in the Hood tracks. A long track that required a lot of memorisation, knowledge abo...

Re: Route-77

A very good track, I really like the obstacles as well as the bent but quite smooth racing line. What I don't like and what could be updated is the collision on all of the fences, signs and scaffolds, so that for example a higher car can't go under the scaffold because it's too high or when a car ge...

Re: Your Re-Volt Collection

Not a very large collection, but I started playing Re-Volt all because my cousin gave me this CD (it has some other minor games as well, DSJ Ski Jumping, Hercules…) when I was almost/just 6 years old (around 2003 or so). Re-Volt was not my first game to play (my first game to ever be played was Spyr...

Re: [RVGL Release] 19.0907a

Sprint races, yeah! Now someone can make a proper top-speed test track or acceleration test track or a dragstrip track for car comparisons (right now there is only ZR's Dragstrip ZR, required manual 1-lap setting)

Re: RVGL Track: Destructed City (2019)

Use lowercase letters everywhere, because Linux won't read it, had to use case name changer provided with the linux rvgl version (track appeared to be entirely black). Lowercase fix fixed it. Also the camera closes up to the car most of the time, mostly when car is near a pavement, but not only, wha...

Re: [RVGL] Camera issues since 19.0819 update

I can confirm that with higher FPS (~390 on Skating Toys, ~800 on TW1 and Hood1) I've been able to replicate both the low-camera bug as well as the bent-camera near a wall glitch, although this one only slightly, but still. The low-camera bug seems to go away only and right when the camera is forced...

Re: [RVGL] Discord (rage quit) bug

So what you mean is that "Discord Rich Presence" does not detect that RVGL is no longer running after terminating it with ALT+F4 and shows you as if you were still playing it.

Re: [RVGL] Camera issues since 19.0819 update

In the #1 the camera didn't go back up after it decreased its height because of driving under the bed. Should not happen, could maybe possibly happen in other places on other tracks too? #2 the bendbent is bent visibly by too much I will try to get higher fps and see if it happens to me too at ~600~...

Re: [RVGL] Camera issues since 19.0819 update

Either I am doing something wrong, or I do not experience the problems in the point #1.

As for the #2, I see nothing extraordinary – camera works, at least from my experience, just like before.

Can you provide some video or at least a pic, how it looks on your end?

Track "searcher" in the Best Trial Times menu window

I have a suggestion to add a possibility to search for a specific track in the "Best Trial Times" window by writing down the name of the track or a part of it with " *xyz ", the same way it is done right now with tracks and cars in their selection menus. This would make it much easier to look for be...

Yeah of course know that's why I know that adding it to every lap would obstruct the view. I personally have "last lap" indicator switched off for that reason, it's also a distractor as well

Re: Sub Folders / Categories for cars and tracks

They're sorted alphabetically, except for stock and DC tracks and cars. You can also type the beginning of the name of a car/track you want in the selection menu, as well as find by part pf it's name with a star at the beginning, like " *abc "

Practice to drive better, avoid slippery surfaces, don't hold turn buttons for too long but rather modulate the turning, dump volatile cars like Humma and use cars with stiffer handling, things like that. It's doable, there are people driving Humma on a daily basis so it's totally possible to do wha...

Marking Time Trial times as CHT

I have a suggestion to mark the time trial times that were made with instances OFF (and wrong stock car parameters if it is not implemented yet) as CHT. Instances OFF allow for a much faster raceline, and instances are an integral part of tracks so making a time without them should be considered che...

Re: Open-Volt Project

I don't really know the philosophy of RVGL neither about how far the concept of modding should be pushed. Do RVGL should allow: Custom game mode creations? UI customization? (I don't mean changing the textures..., but creating) Custom physics? Custom objects? Custom triggers? Or RVGL should stay cl...

Re: Realistic R/C

Looks nice, but maybe you could use/contribute to the existing remodels of stock cars from the dead Re-Make project? Guys from there remodeled some cars already, not in a way that everyone likes but it could be transformed into "more realistic stock Re-Volt RC Cars" custom car pack or something. The...

Re: Open-Volt Project

Everything's cool and nice, son't get me wrong, you do what you want, but I have one fundamental question: why create a new, separate mod of Re-Volt for such a small community instead of working with Huki & Marv on the game (RVGL) itself to try to make it more fitting for custom content creation, mo...

High entry level for new players Well, get better by playing with better people or in singleplayer training. Or advocate for closed lobbies where "pro" players would be not allowed to play, but that's subjective and leaves too much place for something like "you go out, because that's what I want". ...

Re: RVGL files on sdcard1 on android

Huki has been inactive lately, so he can't help – he's the best person that can help with technical stuff. What I can say is that right now RVGL can read files only if they are stored in the internal memory of the mobile device. You can't install RVGL or put RVGL files in your external SD card in yo...

lololol so close, I got the time right after doing some exercises and I felt tons of power. Actually my second turn was slow by a whole 0,1 seconds, so a 35:600 is theoretically achievable. Theoretically, because there is plenty of other turns to get around perfectly. https://i.imgur.com/XP1sOG4.png
