I am pretty sure than manageable start positions were already suggested, and devs consider it, but - maybe - because of hardcoding limitation or devs developping another parts of the game it was not made yet.

Long and Short Cuts not works anymore.
Also, 607, use more nodes on the alternate line then set the alternate line to pickup line (all of that line). Job should be jobbed then.

Edit modes should load files first, do I don't think it is achievable. Also if you did some modification on the track and you press restart, that causing crash (afaik).
