So what if a track uses custom scrape/skid sounds? Then the car would completely disregard it or what?

I'm also supportive of this idea, and any idea about further customizing content that normally can't be customized.

Fair enough, didn't test it with shaders. But yeah, it's not stated in the documentation, so to me it seems more like a bug. It's really useless if it doesn't work with the legacy renderer, since shaders is the one that's optional.

The only downside of the idea is that toggling it between tracks is not really an option so those with bad hardware would have to keep the effects turned off for most of the time, though they might not struggle on stock and modest tracks.

That does happen, yes, but it should update once you refresh.
No it does not. "date modified" always refers to the date the track was packed. 09/01 for Spa-Volt 1.

Would also like to see this feature implemented, one way or another.

It might be a good idea to use the spoiler tag for the images next time you do a similar topic, because it takes up a lot of space and you can only start reading the text after all images loaded.

Custom championships is something that's already being considered, as far as I know. (Edit: read something of the sort here ) New pick-ups won't be added, and this isn't the first time it's suggested. I remember there was a mod with one new pick-up, but don't know if it was ever published. Can't say...

I'm having the same problem regarding changing the RGB values. Will have to use 1.2 or an older version as working with lights is just painful as it is.
