Re: Renaming the I/O Car Classes

A short reply: A solution could be as well to incorporate IO classes and make RVGL support it. When a lobby selects an IO class, the players could see that as a prompt/option/text, if possible. It shouldn't be too hard to implement. What do you think? I think RVGL shouldn't become I/O-specific, but...

Re: Renaming the I/O Car Classes

I'll be looking for suggestions before sumitting my entry! At this point all ratings (except Super Pro) should be renamed, right? It used to be the case that there was no difference between Stock and I/O Rookies, but I think Bendor changed this, and of course all Pros were allowed for Pros, but now ...

(When we want to reposition the car, we see it on the starting line.)
This is intended, so you can't get faster times by using jump walls and such (the end of Museum 1, and MightyCucumber's update for Rooftops2 for examples).

Re: Candy Jumping original sample

It's probably a case similar to the "Pachelbel canon in D" or "The Wilhelm Scream" case – this may be simply a decent string of notes that matches many songs in a particular tempo (and also allows for additional instruments to be played alongside it quite easily), so it is used more widely than we ...

Re: [RVGL Release] 19.1001a

In situations like these, when a hotfix is needed on the same day, we simply overwrite the original release. We don't increase the version number because each release is ~80MB total and we like to keep all previous versions on our server for archival purposes. A version number bump, even for a simp...

Re: [RVGL Release] 19.1001a

Agreed. Every release should be easily distinguishable from any other release, even if it's just a hotfix. Before the previous occurrence of this, I also expected the a to become a b (and then I learned that for the shader version, the a was an s... but the shader version has been integrated with th...

You can probably not solve it by turning the phone off and on again.

This has been solved! I was going to post some screenshots from Discord but I'm not sure how it would best be done, and I was going to be doing something more useful anyway.

Re: GJ's and I Spy's Workshop

I think (not sure though) that the track name could be changed just in a text file with an update without messing with alll the files and the filename itself and the name would be better, but I'm not pushing you to do that. I considered that possibility but decided against suggesting it, as the tra...

Yeaaah, I thought the music would be different, and I love that it's actually not! :D It looks so good!! :o Very nice. The bit before the satellites, with the red beams, feels amazing. I also like that you made the long straight before the satellites more challenging with the force fields and some o...

Erm huh? How tf are we going to do avatars? Enforcement of signing into RVZ and connecting to that server so use of your information renders your avatar in the side, and downloading of avatars from other users in a temporary space?
RVZ doesn't even have avatars. :P

Re: RVGL Track: Destructed City (2019)

I got to know that in 2013 another track named "Destructed City" was released, which uses the same modelling. However, in the readme for the 2019 track I could not find any reference to the 2013 track, and in the 2013 track I could not find any reference to "kay" or "kallelay". What's up with this?

Re: Track "searcher" in the Best Trial Times menu window

That would be nice, indeed. Having to first go to the track selection screen if you just want to check times can be inconvenient. By the way, it would also be nice if there was a way to go to the next track that has times on it. I bet less than 5% of the tracks in my installation have time trial tim...

The magazine is very interesting because it gives you a lot of information about the game such as how to use it, how to mod it, where to find additional content, and where to find active communities. I took some pictures of the pages. https://i.imgur.com/kSlqESg.jpg https://i.imgur.com/TYx37pX.jpg ...

Stock track fixes is surprising! But I don't care much about the stocks anyway, I'm more concerned about customs. ;)

The same applies to the final lap indicator, though (which can be turned off).
