Re: Track "searcher" in the Best Trial Times menu window

That would be nice, indeed. Having to first go to the track selection screen if you just want to check times can be inconvenient. By the way, it would also be nice if there was a way to go to the next track that has times on it. I bet less than 5% of the tracks in my installation have time trial tim...

Re: Your Re-Volt Collection

The magazine is very interesting because it gives you a lot of information about the game such as how to use it, how to mod it, where to find additional content, and where to find active communities. I took some pictures of the pages. https://i.imgur.com/kSlqESg.jpg https://i.imgur.com/TYx37pX.jpg ...

Wow!
CPU cars in online multi-player is cool, and welcome.
Stock track fixes is surprising! But I don't care much about the stocks anyway, I'm more concerned about customs. ;)

Nah not necessary, would also obstruct the field of view
The same applies to the final lap indicator, though (which can be turned off).

Re: Sub Folders / Categories for cars and tracks

Yes, searching is essential! Oh, what a time before that was possible... (or I knew about it, I guess) Searching by creator would be useful for cars for me, but I don't think this is possible, as the creator's name is not included in the inf file, and readme layouts are very diverse. I even o...

Finally you made a post! :D I got a bit excited when we saw the images and video you made, but I wasn't expecting to hear anything more about it any time soon, assuming it would unexpectedly drop on RVZ one day in the future. But thanks for making an account on the forum! :) I'm looking forward to t...

why would you burden your main installation with a 100 track trash pack
Good point. I might only get those that are on RVZ also.

Re: THE ANNUAL SH*T TRACK PACK COLLECTION

I suggested for Zeino to add the tag to the tracks in the pack. Especially if it's as big as it's aiming to be, it could be nice to distinguish the tracks from other tracks. In case someone wants to upload their track to RVZ (not right now though, too many poor Lego tracks in a row, but that's jhu10...

Re: THE ANNUAL SH*T TRACK PACK COLLECTION

Why the additional rule? I assume to make the tracks sortable in-game? I feel like that's unnecessary, to be honest. Such a prefix would look ugly to me.

I've put a custom envstill in the track's folder and even in the track's custom folder, but still the default texture shows. :/

custom ball bearing texture

Hello, in many old tracks the ball bearing has got a custom texture. This is the only general sprite that is custom in these old tracks, as before Phoenix R3 it wasn't possible to have custom textures without replacing stock assets. However, I couldn't figure out how this was done, and nobody was ab...

Re: THE ANNUAL SH*T TRACK PACK COLLECTION

Folk (my younger brother) and I have been having a lot of fun creating a track where if we don't feel like working on something, we can just rush it, and if we want to attempt something crazy, that's totally fine! This late afternoon we unexpectedly did a lot of experimentation with the fxpages and ...

I'm pro open the game source for everyone to play however they like.
That would split up the online community, but I don't think that's a problem, as it seems to be rather big currently. Anyway, I don't think it'll happen.

Re: Suggestion regarding RNG pick-up selection

Huh? No. Why would you want this ? It can certainly make a big difference. It'd make the game a lot less fun. The day before yesterday, I played Re-Volt with someone who hadn't played it before. His first 3 pick-ups were all batteries. That was great! I also really like it when I use a zap to get a ...

Wow Kiwi, that's cool! I'm surprised to see the box of your original game in such a good state.
I'd like to get Re-Volt for N64 one day, mostly to play it but also partly to have it, but it's not expensive, so I'd like to save it until I run into it IRL, instead of buying it through the internet.

Re: Favourite Custom Tracks

Well, I usually judge tracks by their way how they were made. We can count in makeitgood stuffs, visuals and racelines. But visuals are secondary in my eyes. Including all these, here is my list: 01, Wipeout 2097 02, Ghost Town 3 03, CTR-Palm Marsh 04, Feeoria R.C.G.P. 05, Hallows Eve 06, GP1 07, H...

Hi! I'm hajducsekb, from Hungary. Prepare for a bit longer post ;). Hiding it for those who are here for the one-liner introductions. I've first found out about Re-Volt around 2003-2004 when I was a very young kid (I was born in 2000). We got to know this game from our neighbours, and I started pla...

Interesting! I'd like to do this as well. :) It'd probably take some time though, as I'd have to play and rank all tracks that might be in the top 10 in order to get the ranking. But that sounds fun to do. :)

Ah, so if I understand correctly, it was because the risk-reward ratio was too high for most people to actually attempt it. That would make sense.
