There is probably a sliding scale for several different aspects of each class of cars overall performance.
Like you say, higher speeds yet slower acceleration.
There'll be others for grip and over/under steer, weight and inertia.
Each parameter section can affect max speed and acceleration.

Re: Project GTP Re-Vamp
I wonder if I did nailed your expectation visual wise since it still is your pack after all. I wanted to keep the GTP race car theme although for GTP1, 8 and 9 went balls deep into the time attack area. :grimacing: Updating the pack to make the best of the latest RVGL release is ALL GOOD by me, NIC...

Re: Project GTP Re-Vamp
I'm looking forward to this. My original intension was to encourage a speed class above 'Pro', which has taken over a decade but now we have the 'Super Pro' class. I don't mind a revamp of my original offerings, but do encourage others to submit their own original repaints, and not just of stock car...

You may be hard pushed to create a single texture track with track editor alone without utilising some of the older track editing tools which can be found here : https://revolt_f1.webs.com/rvtoolshed.htm

Re: Speed property in ncp file
I fully understood the concept and purpose, that wasn't the issue.
Which editing tool/program would you be using to apply these percentage effects ?
Could this property be easily coded in to the game ?
PS, try a little punctuation in your posts, it would make them easier to read, lol.

Re: Speed property in ncp file
If I understand you correctly, you are suggesting implementing the physics (not the graphics) of Farce Fields, Objects and Surface Properties all in to one single edit/application ? Which program/application would you use to implement this ? Is it that you struggle to efficiently utilise Farce Field...

Re: New AI NODES
Although that pack and many of the new 'Super Pro' category cars can exceed 50 mph, the selection of tracks and the amount of times you would need your suggested node modes would be very rarely needed and the desired effect could be achieved with the current set of node modes. Try a 'off throttle' n...

OK, right. thank you.
But that is exactly what I would like, an extra 'Update's' list on the title screen.
I'll give Zach a poke and see if he stir's, lol.

"Hey, you know this cool feature that allows authors to update their own content on the site without having to pester the administrators? Stop using it because I don't like people using it." You are quite clearly well out of the loop with what authors do in the year 2020. We release cars, refine th...

Re: Post upload tweaking at RVZ
NO ? not exactly a mature response guys, lol  If they are minor tweaks, then don't bother, save your newly improved skill's for your next release. There probably should then be an 'Updated@ section on the title screen so it is clear what has actually been updated, as post can quickly go down th...

Have you thoroughly checked that you have done exactly what Skarma has suggested ?
Are all the file names correct, no spelling errors at the time of export or saving ?

Re: Random AI Cars
The inherent problem there would be 'random AI car selection', you may never get the cars you wish to challenge as opponents. I use to make a copy of the car I wish to race with then alter it's rating to match the cars I wanted to race against. Then just select this car as your default car. Easier a...

Re: Car body
Sounds like you need to create/edit the .bmq file so that it has just your repaint rather than a copy of Toyeca.
In the original version the .bmp file is 256 x 256 pixels, and the .bmq file is 128 x 128 pixels.
For a quick fix just delete the .bmq file.
