Re: Global Star Issue

People don't always go for the star in Helios though. The only other track where people always go for the star that has multiple is Re-Ville (although the pack update released today removed them), but there the star removal order seems to always work out. And just from racing on Metro-Volt the first...

Re: cars asphalt 9

They are way too detailed to be in this 20 year old game. Maybe some of these have been made already or converted from elsewhere but these models have way too many polygons.

Re: Themed Lego Extreme Track Competition, Round 2

Schizophrenia is without a doubt the standout here for me. Just like Beehive Valley Adventures last round this track does something completely new with the game that hasn't been done before and succeeds at what it sets out to do incredibly well. It's likely the closest we'll ever get to a true horro...

Viewing replays of time trial ghosts

The ability to view time trial ghosts from the perspective of the player would be a handy feature to have. Perhaps accessible through a button combination in time trial mode or the best trial times menu it would be pretty convenient for things like wanting to view other players racelines if you have...

Re: Renaming the I/O Car Classes

Leaving the game cars as is and changing the i/o car list names is the plan. Regarding the feature you described URV is planning a launcher that would be able to shuffle the cars folder around before launch. I don't know the specifics on that but if implemented it would certainly streamline things a...

Re: Alex Dev Diary

I got some real solid skeleton related updates for you https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thzxXNDTf-g The Skeleton Rave is finished! It is sort of barebones (please laugh) as there was a deadline of the 24th and I didn't want to flesh it out (please laugh) as I didn't want to risk taking on too much an...

Re: Renaming the I/O Car Classes

One big issue of your suggestions is that a significant amount of perfectly fine cars would be dropped for something incredibly minor. In the end the rating is a single line on the car select screen and doesn't affect the cars quality. Figuring out which car should belong in exactly which rating isn...

Re: Suggestion Next version RVGL

In my opinion the only suggestion with any merit of the bunch is the first with 10 time trial ghosts and even that is mostly a low priority novelty. Other than that: Upping the car limit would result in full online lobbies ending in absolute chaos. Going ahead in the start grid would make the game s...

Re: Alex Dev Diary

Well I've got something nice to show you. Is it anything I've talked about here before? No. https://streamable.com/ftpl0 Wichilie and Zeino are hosting another lego extreme competition and the inspiration bug bit me. I really want to get this done before the 24th in time for the Halloween carnival. ...

Re: Month in Review

Thats a bunch. It was your post in the most recent RVGL versions thread that inspired me to make it. A lot of praise should also go to URV who formatted and looked over it, fixing errors and making additions. I also think that this is a step up from the podcasts which were severely hampered by the f...

Re: Alex Dev Diary

Now it's been a while since my last update here mostly cause I've been away from home for two weeks but also because work on tracks isn't really going anywhere right now. I'm lacking interest right now in the monochrome track and for Sythwave 2 and Edinburgh I have not gathered enough ideas for a fu...

for the scroll speed related one you could try tiling your texture file so you have more space to scroll through. that does come with bigger filesizes though

I remember there being a custom only pro car lobby hosted at one point which was incredibly fun with a massive variety of cars but I sadly don't see those custom/stock only sessions anymore on the schedule. Would love to see one or two a week maybe where only custom cars are allowed

Re: Thoughts on current online scene

I am certainly sympathetic to your problems as I've been in similar positions in other games too but sadly I don't think too much can be done about most of them. "High entry level for new players" This one is sadly something unavoidable with any high skill ceiling game with a low player count with t...

1. Toy World Mayhem From beautiful graphics to a fantastic raceline this track has it all. An easy 10/10 for me. 2. Kadish Sprint This one really scratches my personal itch of a challenging and bumpy track with lots of tricky corners. 3. Spa Volt 2 The Spa Volt tracks are along with Ranch the most ...
