That's a nice question - I assume the Shield could work as a "ghost" effect, in which the cars would simply phase through such obstacles.

I dont know how easy or feasible it is to draw such behaviour from the Time Trial Ghost for example.

The way I see it, if you use the Shield after getting zapped, the effect of the zap remains (since you were zapped before triggering the immunity effect). As for the rest of the interactions, the Shield would basically nullify all other effects on your car - in case of oils, you'd probably still be ...

I've seen in some old pictures from when Marv was working on the source code some sort of "boost" effect, a smoke trail coming off the back end of the car.

Maybe that can be used as visual cue?

I agree with all points except the fourth one - limiting how many items can be at a certain time during a race also limits response and "fights" betweern players. I'll take zaps as an example because they're often the most frustrating pickup: I often find myself catching up to a racer ahea...

With the latest RVGL patch (thank you for the hard work guys, its an outstanding achievement!) and the introduction of the DC Cup mode, I realized that there's one thing missing that I'm sure many Revolters would like to see - Rotor. I have previously brought this subject up in similar circunstances...
