It does not need to be updated, AsciiWolf. It pulls latest update of the game anyway.

Re: Car whitelist for server hosts
Ayy, we can't even agree here game should support the client-server metadata part where server can tell what cars are to be in selection pool and only present those cars for selection. If you would suggest adding more "UI garbage" to this proposal it will be killed instantly as a whole by keep-it-19...

Re: Renaming the I/O Car Classes
Could be a server-client thing, where server gives list of valid cars for client, no?
Then client only shows those cars for the selection.
What you suggest still requires low quality conversations, when actual problem is with game itself.

Re: [RVGL Release] 19.1001a
Marv's Linux install/update script for every installed package(list of installed packages saved in txt file) gets txt files from website that contain latest version string, then compares with versions previously saved in .versions/ directory. If chosen to update all packs that are outdated - old arc...

That question can be interpreted in many ways. Please formulate what exactly you mean there and what it has to do with the topic of this thread.Black-Revolt001 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2019 10:59 amOr can we do with our ideas for the next release please?

Re: [RVGL Release] 19.1001a
I got a message yesterday (from AUR package user) that control sum does not match. It may be because "hotfix" by overwriting same archive/version. This undermines current versioning scheme. I thought last letter in version supposed to be incremented when when hotfix happens, although I have read lin...

This (and previous) updates haven't been put in news section on website, last news were for: io_tracks 19.0630 ; io_skins 19.0630 . No news on website so far: io_skins 19.0701 , probably from 19.0630b commit; rvgl_dcpack 19.0819 ; soundtrack 19.0825 ; rvgl 19.0819 , 19.0907 .

Re: [RVGL Release] 19.0430a
fluidsynth 1 and 2 are not fully compatible, also alure which has it as optional dependency is built statically with rvgl. This error is not fatal and fluidsynth is optional if you want to play SF2 files in game(experimental since 18.1020a), I don't think this type of files is included in any pack o...

Anyone diverging from this Communist party line should just use Hex editor or re-implement RVGL from scratch.

Re: Suggestion regarding RNG pick-up selection
Pointless argument. There multiple versions of the game even now. This is only preventable if game had online DRM from the beginning and would not allow to play game at all if you are not using latest version, even if you want to play offline.

Why SuperTuxKart community is not split then? Again this "split of community" is meme that never realized itself in any game other already long-dead games like Quake Arena.

Re: RVGL now on Arch Linux AUR
1) The game files are part of rvgl-bin. This could cause the game files to be downloaded unnecessarily for each subsequent RVGL update (unless makepkg reuses downloaded sources if checksum is unchanged?). I does not re-download them, I did not look into details. But yes, resulting package would hav...

RVGL now on Arch Linux AUR
Package on AUR What is AUR? Some basics written in my words: Arch Linux is operating system that uses pacman package manager. pacman can install, remove and update packages and its dependencies and track what files belong to them so it can remove those or prevent conflicts where one package has sam...

Online car rating suggestion thread
First car I noticed is Rice Ball, Semi-Pro in game and it plays well within that class, rated as Advanced in online car classes and it plays as bit OP within that class in my opinion. Thoughts?

Thanks for the research! Bendor and Phenom are classified under Advanced in Online Classes, and RC Phink is another Rookie. Cutting people off by mandatory Discord
So I know some people prefer closed platform such as Discord for their communications. This is fine, but I do not wish to join Discord only because I want to play with others. What was wonderful that I could still participate in the community without Discord, like joining races by IPs that were post...

Re: Why the hell am I so into batch files nowdays?
There is proper solution like package manager or store. While this is harmless by itself, it sets a bad example for creators. It is developer's role to create systems to install, update, upload and review user-made content. User made content that is not executable should not require trust or specifi...

Re: Second set of keybinds
Grand Theft Auto had nice system where you could bind multiple keys for multiple devices from same menu. Though joystick axis were still hardcoded. Keybindings could see improvement. There is misconception with current gamepad config that you would accelerate with joystick up, and if you use L2/R2 s...
